Practical bicycles for everyday people. Built by cyclists - not venture capitalists.

Mobilising for the future.

Built around people.

We are proud to march to the beat of our own drummer. We know what a bicycle can mean, that it represents freedom, that it’s a lifestyle.

Determined to make bicycles that are accessible, practical and fun, Flux was started in 2016 by Andrew Bayley, surrounded by a loose-knit cohort of fellow cyclists with a background in design, making and engineering. Starting life in Brighton, Flux moved to the historic city of Leicester at the end of 2019.

A simple philosophy.

Imagine if we bought cars like we were sold bicycles? Everyone would be whipping around in big engined, two-seater sports cars. Which may sound fun until you need to go shopping, take the kids to school out or transport your dog to the park.

We think there is a better way of doing things, so we make the sort of bikes that people like to ride every day. Sturdy and practical cycles that get you through the daily grind.

Mobilising for the future.

At Flux we believe that cycling is clean, affordable, safe and easy. It creates happier people and healthier spaces. We’re strong advocates of cycling as the world’s most sustainable form of transport. A cycle based lifestyle helps us stay fit and healthy as well as being cheaper than a car or public transport.

Use it to do your weeks grocery shop. Hop on your bicycle to run some errands, or spend quality time with the kids on your commute. How you do it is up to you, as long as you’re on a bike.

The details matter.

We’re firm believers that the small details count just as much as the big picture. Like the hand cut head badges that finish off our frames, each one is as unique as you are. Because we build our bikes singly or in low production runs, we can make small changes to each bike making sure it’s just right for you.

Get in touch to discuss your needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.
